My brother has done B.Com in 2000 and LLB in 2003 from Meerut University but he still didnot find any job while he has got 54% in LLB.What to do next to get the good job? Please suggest some cheap courses because we cannot afford costly course and also tell about some institute where he can apply.

His mediocre academic record could be a stumbling block but it is also possible that he is not able to present himself well during interviews.

The legal professionals who analyse and interpret law properly are called lawyers, pleaders, advocates and judges. A sizable number of women are in the legal profession like other professionals. Lawyers also specialize in a particular area of law such as civil, criminal, constitutional, taxation, labour, environmental and international law etc. A career as a lawyer can be very paying and may lead to positions of influence and power. The work is demanding and difficult but it is also interesting and fulfilling. The earnings are modest to begin with but they do increase with experience and expertise. Lawyers have the opportunity to practice before the judges in subordinate courts, Administrative Tribunals, High courts and Supreme Court. They may find employment in Central/State Governments, Defence Service, Public Sector undertakings, Business Houses and local authorities. Those who have some inclination towards journalism may become legal correspondent of a newspaper. One may also go in teaching profession. There are quit a good number of universities and colleges which have faculty of law. Publishing of Journals, magazines and legal books is an interesting opening for the versatile law graduates. You may go for a postgraduate diploma in various areas such as company law, human rights law, intellectual property, labour laws, taxation law, International law, election law etc. after completing your LLB. Delhi univ, Indra Gandhi National Open University and National Law School of India University, Banglore offer PG Diploma in intellectual property.
