Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, invites applications on behalf of the Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences (RIPANS), Aizawl, Mizoram, from suitable candidates for the post of Director, RIPANS in the proforma appended as Annexure. The qualification and other particulars of the said post are as under-

Qualification for Medical Candidates:

  1. A medical qualification included in Schedule I and II or Part II of the third schedule of IMC Act 1956. (Persons possessing qualifications included in Part - II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Act.
  2. Post Graduate Medical qualification i.e. MD/MS/Mch/DM or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto OR Post Graduate Diploma e.g. DPH/DMRD/DCP or equivalent thereto.
  3. Must be registered with Central/State Medical Council.

Experience: Minimum Teaching/Research Experience of 20 (twenty) years out of which 15 (fifteen) years should be in a recognized Institute after Post Graduation.

Qualification for Non- Medical Candidates:-

  1. Master's Degree in the field of Nursing Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology Optometry and Radio Imaging Technology from a recognized University.
  2. PhD in any of the field mentioned at 1 above from recognized institute i.e. recognized by UGC /AlCTE/INC/Pharmacy Council.
  3. Must be registered with concerned Statutory Council.

Experience: 20 (twenty) years Teaching / Research Experience out of which 15 years should be in a recognized Institute after PhD in any of the above fields

Desirable: - Incumbents having administrative experience will be given preference.

Job Responsibility:

Head of all Administrative and Accounts Departments.

Head of all Academic Departments.

Member Secretary in Executive Council and the Board of Governors of the Institute.

Scale of pay: Level- 14 of Pay Matrix+ Allowances as admissible (Pre-revised PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000 + GP Rs. 10000).

Age Limit: - Upper Age limit of 60 years.

The post is to be filled by the method of deputation (including shortterm contract)/ Direct recruitment. In case of recruitment by Deputation/ short term contract, the incumbent having 3 years qualifying service in Pay Level 13 and having educational qualification and experience as mentioned above.

The persons selected on deputation will be governed by the normal Government Rules/ Orders on deputation. The age of retirement of the incumbent of the post of Director, RIPANS, Aizawl is 65 years. Copy of the proforma on which the application has to be submitted is at Annexure-l.
